Job Description:
Homeworthy, a dynamic startup in the digital/social media space, is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Director of Sales to join our team. Reporting directly to the founder, this role requires an ambitious and driven self-starter with a passion for staying ahead in the dynamic world of digital advertising. The Director of Sales will lead all sales efforts, leveraging market relationships, and experience for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Homeworthy’s objectives and growth targets
- Take full ownership of the sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring the achievement and surpassing of revenue targets.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through effective prospecting and lead qualification.
- Hire, lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing Sales Associate to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners, directly engaging with them, managing, and monetizing those relationships, ensuring growth.
- Utilize data-driven insights to analyze sales performance, track key metrics, and make informed decisions.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc sales reports for the founders and key stakeholders, offering insights into achievements and areas for improvement.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion and new revenue streams, working in tandem with the company’s vision.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive offerings to position the Homeworthy platform effectively.
- Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while maintaining strong business relationships, consulting closely with the founders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of 3-5 years in a sales leadership role within the digital/social media industry.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising, social media platforms, and emerging trends.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in using sales analytics tools.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully working on both client-direct and agency-driven deals, showcasing adaptability and versatility in sales strategies.
- A track record of developing and executing successful branded content campaigns that resonate with audiences and deliver tangible results.
