Property Brothers at KBIS: Jonathan & Drew Scott on 650+ Episodes & What’s Next

At NKBA’s 2026 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando, Homeworthy founder Alison Kenworthy sat down with two of television’s most recognizable renovators, Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott. The twin brothers—who turned remodeling into must-watch TV with Property Brothers—reflected on their journey from entrepreneurial kids rearranging their parents’ furniture to celebrating their 650th episode.

The conversation was equal parts heartfelt and funny. They reminisce about childhood side hustles—starting businesses at seven, performing as clowns, even buying medieval armor at ten—and how they “just naturally found that we loved home.” Rearranging rooms while their parents were out to dinner was an early sign of what was to come.

Today, their focus remains the same: helping homeowners balance function and style. “So many people think you need one or the other,” Drew said. “Everyone deserves to have both sides of that.” Jonathan added that nothing transforms a space quite like lighting, calling “a well-lit room” invaluable and emphasizing the importance of task, ambient, and feature lighting.

They also spoke about current shifts in the market, noting that “more people are taking on lighter renos, lighter makeovers,” and encouraging homeowners to “say goodbye to boring” by adding depth, texture, and personality—without necessarily taking on massive renovations.

On Celebrity IOU, which has featured stars like Brad Pitt and Michael Bublé, the brothers emphasized that the show is ultimately about heart. “It’s not just about design, it’s about the stories and it’s about people.”

When asked what home means to them, their answer was simple. “Home is not just the structure,” Drew shared. “Your physical home should make your life easier.” And as Drew put it, “Home is where I am with my family.”
