Every once in a while you just need an escape from the loud sounds and bright lights of New York City. So this past weekend, my husband and I left Manhattan and took a picturesque drive out to Long Island for a quiet weekend of fresh air and relaxation. We checked into The Roundtree, a lovely boutique hotel that just opened its doors in 2020. The property, once a working farm, has rich history that dates back 250 years. Their two-story main house, a structure central to the property, goes back nearly 125 years. Talk about charm! These rooms have the best of both worlds–wonderful character yet completely updated with modern amenities.
