A Beautifully Layered Lowcountry Farmhouse in Charleston
Interior designer Jen McDermott takes us inside her Lowcountry Farmhouse in Charleston filled with fabulous patterns and English-inspired decor.
Just two years ago, Jen and her husband transitioned from their beloved 1920s Dutch Colonial in the New York City metro area to embark on the journey of building their dream home in Charleston. Their home, a picturesque low-country farmhouse from the outside, hides a delightful surprise within its walls. Stepping inside, you are greeted by an interior that seamlessly blends classic English country charm with a dash of French flair.
Over the past two years, Jen has meticulously curated every detail of their new home, from the addition of reclaimed beams in the living room to the striking ochre yellow zellige tile in the kitchen. The result is a harmonious blend of architectural accents, bold colors, and carefully curated antiques that exude charm and character. Enjoy!
