A Cozy & Festive Colonial Home in Boston
Interior designer Elizabeth Benedict gives us a tour of her gorgeous and festive home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
Elizabeth, who originally started her career in finance, embarked on a transformative path after spending two years in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Captivated by its culture and allure, she transitioned into the world of art, working at a gallery. Upon returning to the United States, her husband's thoughtful gesture led her to pursue her true passion – interior design.
As an interior designer, Elizabeth views her home as a canvas for experimentation and creativity. The Georgian Colonial architecture serves as the backdrop to her design prowess, creating a space that is both timeless and welcoming. The home is not just a physical space; it's a curated collection of memories, a tangible representation of Elizabeth and her family's unique 18-year journey in the home. Every corner tells a story, with mementos from her family's travels woven seamlessly into the fabric of the decor. From exquisite teapots discovered in Thailand to beaded animal figurines from Tanzania, each piece holds sentimental value and contributes to the home's distinctive charm. Inside you’ll find a blend of rich colors, layered textures and inherited collections proudly displayed throughout. Enjoy!
