A Day in the Life of MarieBelle Founder Maribel Lieberman
Today on Homeworthy, we’re in New York with Maribel Lieberman, the visionary founder of MarieBelle chocolates, for an exclusive tour of her chocolate shop and home.
Maribel’s journey began in Honduras, where as an eight-year-old, she crafted sugar candies that became a neighborhood sensation. It was the start of a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit. Maribel’s path to success was shaped by her move to New York, first studying at Parsons School of Design and then working in fashion.
Drawing inspiration from her childhood and her belief that food could be a form of art, she launched Maribel’s Gourmet Cuisine – a venture that sparked her passion for blending flavors and creativity. In 2002, she opened the first MarieBelle shop in Soho, where her artistry and chocolate-making collided.
Today, her world-renowned brand stretches from New York City to Kyoto, Japan, delighting loyal customers with chocolates that prove art truly can be delicious. Enjoy!
