A Production Designer’s Colorful 700 Sq Ft NYC Apartment

Today on Homeworthy, we’re stepping inside the creative Brooklyn apartment of production designer Caity Birmingham.

What began as a temporary stay for a film project turned into a permanent move to New York City when Caity stumbled upon this gem of a space through a Craigslist ad. Drawn in by its soaring ceilings, warm wooden floors, and quirky layout, she moved in with a trailer full of personal treasures, plus a few set pieces from a film she was working on at the time.

Her home is a maximalist dream, bursting with colorful graphic art, vintage finds, renter-friendly DIYs, and eclectic memorabilia from her work in film and TV.
