Historic Homes
A Storybook Transformation Inside a Historic Michigan Home
We’re at Enchanted Makeovers, a nationally recognized nonprofit founded by Terry Grahl, supporting women and children rebuilding their lives after domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness. Enchanted Makeovers transforms shelters nationwide—bringing thoughtful design to spaces where healing begins.
This once-abandoned 100-year-old home has been restored entirely through volunteers and donations. Every room reflects that collective effort, layered with handmade details, repurposed pieces, and a deep sense of purpose.
Terry’s vision is rooted in her own story—growing up facing homelessness and hardship, while holding onto creativity, imagination, and the belief in a better future.
Built through shared stories and a powerful network of supporters, Enchanted Makeovers is a testament to the idea that when you change the way you serve, you can transform not just spaces—but lives.
