A Tudor Home Filled with Vintage Decor in Michigan
Content creator and recruiter Vanessa Chaverri-Gratz takes us inside her 1926 historic Tudor home in Grosse-Ile, Michigan.
Discovering this gem was serendipitous for Vanessa and her husband. A playful browse on Zillow led them to stumble upon this historic Tudor. Since they were already planning a weekend trip to Michigan, the couple decided to pay a light-hearted visit to the home and unexpectedly fell in love with it. Originally hailing from Dallas, Texas, their journey to Michigan marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, anchored by the warmth and character of their new home.
Upon entering, one is immediately struck by Vanessa's keen eye for design. Green, her go-to neutral, creates a serene backdrop while wood and brass accents infuse each space with inviting warmth. A treasure trove of second-hand finds adorns the rooms, adding layers of history and personality to every corner. Mid-century modern pieces mingle effortlessly with antique and vintage treasures, resulting in a harmonious blend of styles that feels both classic and contemporary, with a hint of English country charm.
Beyond her role as an optometrist recruiter for Warby Parker, Vanessa's passion for interior design shines through her virtual decorating endeavors and content creation. Through her home, she invites us to glimpse into her creative vision, where every detail tells a story and every corner exudes warmth and hospitality. Enjoy!
