Greg’s passion for design began in childhood, when he would explore newly built homes in his hometown of Elkhorn, Nebraska, imagining each room’s layout and purpose. His journey took him from luxury retail at Barneys in Chicago to a chic Manhattan apartment filled with vintage treasures, all while building a successful career in mortgage banking.

After 22 years in the industry, Greg and his partner, Tom, made a bold move—leaving behind their East Hampton home to start fresh in Chicago. Now, Greg has returned to his true passion with his new venture, Gregory Socha Design, crafting spaces that blend beauty, comfort, and thoughtful living.
