Inside a Classic Tennessee Home Filled With Antiques, Art, and Rescue Horses
We’re in Memphis, Tennessee, where Maridonna Rogers has created a home that’s every bit as warm and welcoming as the landscape around it.
She and her family bought the property after her five-year-old son said he wanted a horse. That search led them to trespass onto an abandoned property — twenty acres of rolling hills, a weathered barn, and a historic house with holes in the roof and endless potential.
Inspired by Mount Vernon, the home blends classic American architecture with Maridonna’s love of antiques, blue-and-white porcelain, and personal collections. Her paintings, coral displays, and rescued animals add warmth and character throughout.
It’s a home built from curiosity, creativity, and a deep connection to the land — a true reflection of Maridonna herself.
