A Lifetime of European Antiques Fill This Louisiana Home

In St. Francisville, Louisiana, Fireside Antiques founder Susan Roland welcomes us inside her extraordinary lakeside home. Designed by renowned architect Bobby McAlpine as a serene retreat overlooking the water, the striking one-bedroom r=home pairs expansive walls of glass and understated contemporary architecture with an extraordinary collection of French and European antiques amassed over more than four decades.

What began as a small antiques showroom Susan founded with her mother in 1982 has grown into one of the country's premier destinations for timeless furnishings and architectural treasures. That same discerning eye is evident throughout the home, where antique stone fireplaces, reclaimed architectural elements, and beautifully curated interiors create a space that feels both deeply rooted in history and effortlessly livable.
