Position: Videographer / Editor (3-Month Contract Role)
Location: Must be based in Charleston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, London, or Nashville, with the ability to travel throughout surrounding areas
Role Overview: As a Videographer / Editor at Homeworthy, you will play a key role in bringing our stories to life through cinematic filming, thoughtful production, and creative collaboration. Each week, you will be responsible for filming and producing high-quality home tours and interviews with interior designers, architects, and other creative professionals, while helping shape each episode alongside our editorial team. This role requires someone comfortable managing solo shoots, including camera operation, lighting, audio, and on-site production logistics, while maintaining a polished and cinematic visual style.
We are seeking a highly organized, creative individual with strong communication and storytelling instincts, technical filming expertise, and a passion for interior design, architecture, and media production. The ideal candidate is comfortable with local travel, confident working independently on set, and able to make homeowners and guests feel at ease on camera while capturing authentic and engaging conversations.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Booking Interviews: Coordinate and schedule interviews with interior designers, architects, and other creative professionals featured on Homeworthy.
- Production: Fully responsible for filming and producing high-quality interviews and cinematic home tours, using strong editorial judgment to help shape episodes in collaboration with editors.
- Solo Filming: Comfortable managing solo shoots, including lighting, audio, camera operation, and on-site production logistics.
- Camera & Filming Proficiency: Proficient in filming in 4K at 23.976 FPS, with experience operating gimbals and creating smooth, cinematic camera movement.
- Drafting Interview Questions: Develop thoughtful and engaging interview questions that bring out the unique stories and perspectives of featured designers and homeowners.
- Editing: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software, with the ability to edit interviews and home tours, organize footage, and collaborate with the post-production team to deliver polished final content.
- Email Correspondence: Reach out to leaders in the interior design world to secure interviews and collaborations while maintaining professional and effective communication.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must own filming equipment: camera, tripod, gimbal and at least 2 lav mics
- Passionate about production, storytelling, and interior design.
- Ability to make hosts and homeowners feel comfortable and confident on camera.
- Comfortable directing interviews and guiding on-camera conversations naturally and engagingly.
- Comfortable with local travel and on-location production work.
- Ability to work independently and manage one-person shoots efficiently.
- Strong eye for composition, lighting, and cinematic camera movement.
- Experience filming homes, interiors, architecture, or real estate content preferred.

You will also support sourcing videographers around the world, contribute to interview development and written content, and assist with e-commerce and shopping guide initiatives.
This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute to exciting projects from your own space. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive individual with strong writing and communication skills, a sharp eye for design and storytelling, and a genuine enthusiasm for interior design, digital media, and content production.

- Production Coordination: Assist the production team with shoot logistics, scheduling, and coordination to ensure smooth collaboration for video and photo productions.
- Crew & Videographer Sourcing: Source videographers and production crews around the world to support Homeworthy productions.
- Drafting Interview Questions: Develop thoughtful and engaging interview questions that bring out the unique stories and perspectives of featured designers and homeowners.
- Email Correspondence: Reach out to leaders in the interior design world to secure interviews and collaborations while maintaining professional and effective communication.
- Content Creation: Contribute to Homeworthy.com by writing e-commerce articles that align with the brand and showcase trends, products, and interiors.
- Design Sensibility: Maintain a strong understanding of Homeworthy-style homes and compelling hosts, with a keen eye for interior design trends, aesthetics, and storytelling.
- E-commerce: Assist in creating curated shopping guides and design-focused product recommendations for Homeworthy audiences.
