Position: Social Media Editor
Location: Remote, with occasional in-person content creation in NYC. Candidates must be based in the New York City area.
Role Overview: As a Social Media Editor at Homeworthy, you will take ownership of Homeworthy’s social media platforms and play a key role in growing and engaging our audience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. You will be responsible for editing and publishing short-form video content, managing our daily social media output, and finding creative ways to bring Homeworthy’s home tours and design stories to life across platforms. We are seeking a highly organized, creative, and social-savvy individual with strong editing skills and a passion for interior design, digital media, and emerging social trends.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Social Media Management: Take ownership of Homeworthy’s social media platforms and oversee the day-to-day publishing of content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
- Reels Editing & Publishing: Edit and publish short-form video content for Instagram and other social platforms, ensuring content is engaging, polished, and aligned with the Homeworthy brand.
- Daily Content Publishing: Publish pre-made Reels provided by the production team across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts 3–4 times per day.
- Instagram & Facebook Stories: Manage and publish daily content to Instagram and Facebook Stories, using creative and engaging formats to keep our audience connected to Homeworthy.
- Facebook Content: Create and publish Facebook posts designed to drive traffic back to Homeworthy.com and increase engagement with our editorial content.
- Trend & Content Development: Stay up to date on social media trends, formats, sounds, and design-related conversations to identify opportunities for Homeworthy to participate in relevant trends.
- Original Short-Form Content: Develop original short-form content for TikTok and other platforms, with an understanding of what performs well on each platform.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor social media performance and use insights to refine content, posting strategies, and formats.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
- Experience editing short-form video content for social media.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent editing software.
- Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of content and daily publishing deadlines.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and what makes content engaging and shareable.
- Creative thinker with a strong editorial eye and attention to detail.

Role Overview
Worthy Media is looking for an experienced, highly motivated producer to join our growing team. In this role, you will produce both short-form and long-form video content for Worthy Media’s clients, including major news organizations, media personalities, and global companies.
This is a hands-on production role for someone who understands how to write news headlines, knows what makes content compelling, and can move quickly from an idea or assignment to a polished final product. Projects will range from timely, long-form news compilations and daily podcast and video episodes to short-form content for YouTube Shorts and social media platforms.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in the news cycle, has strong editorial judgment, understands how audiences consume content on YouTube and can balance multiple short- and long-term projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Long-Form Video Production: Produce timely, engaging long-form video content, including news compilations and other programming for Worthy Media’s clients.
- Daily Content: Produce daily podcast and video episodes, managing projects from concept and research through final delivery.
- Short-Form Content: Develop and produce short-form videos for YouTube Shorts and social media platforms, with an understanding of what drives engagement across each platform.
- News Production: Stay closely connected to the daily news cycle and identify important, timely, and compelling stories and angles.
- Editorial Judgment: Determine which stories, clips, moments, and topics will resonate with a particular audience and client.
- YouTube Strategy: Produce content with YouTube performance in mind, including titles, thumbnails, packaging, audience retention, and overall channel strategy.
- Analytics & Optimization: Monitor performance and use YouTube Studio and other analytics tools to identify opportunities and improve future content.
- Client Collaboration: Communicate directly with clients as needed to discuss creative direction, feedback, performance, revisions, and project goals.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects with varying timelines, priorities, and deliverables while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with editors, producers, writers, and other members of the Worthy Media team to ensure content is accurate, compelling, and delivered on time.
- Trend Awareness: Stay current on news, digital video trends, YouTube formats, and evolving social media platforms.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in media production, digital video, broadcast journalism, or a related field.
- A strong news background with a deep understanding of current events, breaking news, politics, culture, entertainment, and major national stories.
- Proven experience producing both long-form and short-form video content.
- Strong understanding of YouTube, including YouTube Studio, analytics, audience, titles, thumbnails, and content performance.
- Experience producing content for YouTube Shorts and social media platforms.
- Excellent editorial judgment and a strong understanding of what makes a story timely, relevant, and engaging.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use audience and performance data to inform creative decisions.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a larger production team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients and incorporating feedback into the production process.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro is preferred.
