She walks us through both high-end and affordable options to achieve the same feel
Besides the A-list drama and million-dollar closets, there’s another reason so many of us can’t resist the allure of watching the Kar-Jenners on our screens: their curated homes. With access to the industry’s best designers, it’s no wonder their California spaces leave us wanting more.
Drawn to Kendall Jenner’s organic and tranquil abode, Los-Angeles-based interior designer and founder of Ooak Design Studio, Lisa Checo (@lisamariecheco) revealed how you can mimic the model’s aesthetic – with or without a budget.
For those willing to spend, she had a few ideas.
First up: Claude Home. “It has such a cool arrangement of brands from all over the world. You could pretty much source all of your furniture here because it’s so well-curated that everything goes together,” she said in her TikTok video.
As for some of Homeworthy’s picks from Claude Home’s gallery, this hand-built ceramic candle holder, sculptural floor lamp, and vintage Italian sofa are on our wish list.
Checo’s also a fan of interior designer Jeremiah Brent’s Atrio. “He’s just a vintage guru,” she praised. “If you want to tie in those really cool vintage pieces, I would shop there for accessories, candles, and small little trinkets throughout the house.”
These candlestick holders make for the perfect dining table centerpiece, while this handmade bowl will add interest to your bookshelf.
Moving on to rugs, Checo said her obvious choice would be the brand Woven, but she also recommended the Jake Arnold x Crate and Barrel collaboration. “His color ways are just so beautiful for rugs.”
Thinking about your bedroom, she suggested Nickey Kehoe for linens. “They do such a good job at providing different colors and textures in their textiles. So, I would probably look here for bedsheets and pillows.”
This ochre and red striped pillowcase will add a cozy feel to your nook, while a linen duvet brings softness.
Although Checo knows Jenner was likely not on a tight budget, she shared some accessible options as well.
“Etsy is a great place for small business owners to host their shops, and they’re much more affordable.”
A shop called Beni Ourain Carpets is one of her musts, as she said you can find a real 6 x 9 Moroccan rug for under $500 – a rarity in the market.
We’re loving this area rug – purple nursery, anyone?
Based out of the Netherlands, Old Wooden Stool is a unique destination for reclaimed wooden seating and accent pieces. “The price is just too good to pass up on,” she said.
We have our eyes on this 1920s African tribe stool.
Checo also called the Turkey-based shop Pergamon Marble “the source,” noting that you could find travertine or marble coffee tables for under $1000, like this one.
And finally, she divulged one of her best-kept secrets, giving the Sonoma Etsy shop The Sun Adobe a chef’s kiss.
“This is where you’re going to go if you love Nickey Kehoe but the price just isn’t within the range that you were looking for, and you still want something that’s reclaimed and rustic.”
A bamboo wicker basket adds charm and texture, while an Ikebana style flower vase might be an unexpected touch.
