Palm Beach is the perfect escape for a long weekend if you’re looking to relax in the sun. Its quiet streets are lined with leafy palm trees and dotted with colorful Florida bungalows. You have classic restaurants like Taboo and Renato’s and endless shopping….and who can forget–beautiful white sand beaches. Nestled amongst all of this is the iconic Chesterfield hotel. An architectural gem built in 1926 that combines both British charm and southern hospitality. The hotel is a proud part of the family-owned and run Red Carnation Collection and member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
We stayed in the lovely, and very spacious, Flagler Suite which has a warm and welcoming cream and white color palette.
The Presidential suite is a pink paradise with sweeping views of Palm Beach. Many VIPs have stayed in this room including Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Margaret Thatcher, actress Catherine Deneuve and fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.
Afternoon tea is absolutely NOT to be missed! Their traditional British afternoon tea can be served in the cozy wood-paneled library, the Leopard room, or outside in the sunny courtyard. I consider myself to be an (amateur) high-tea connoisseur and the finger sandwiches were absolutely perfect and the warm scones and sweets–truly decadent. I can’t think of a better way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
One of Palm Beach’s hottest night spots is The Leopard Lounge–a fabulous place for cocktails and dinner with a side of live music!
