A Chic New York Townhouse with An Enchanting Garden

Florist Molly Ford welcomes us inside her eclectic Brooklyn townhouse and demonstrates how to create a show-stopping floral arrangement at home.

When Molly moved to New York City six years ago with little more than a dream and an eye for beauty, she never imagined she’d one day call this prewar gem home. With its tall ceilings, intricate moldings, and original pocket doors, her townhouse exudes old-world elegance—but with a refreshingly lived-in, approachable twist.

Molly’s home is a true reflection of her love for color, texture, and shape. Every corner is thoughtfully styled with a mix of antiques, dried florals, and one-of-a-kind ceramics. Much of what fills the space has been sourced from Facebook Marketplace, giving the home an eclectic, collected-over-time charm. Though many pieces aren’t traditionally precious, they each hold presence and soul.

In a rare New York City delight, Molly also shares her lush backyard garden—a true urban oasis where she draws inspiration from the ever-changing seasons. Join along as she walks us through her favorite blooms and even teaches us how to create a stunning floral arrangement at home using fresh flowers from her garden. Enjoy!
