Behind the Scenes of an Interior Designer’s Storybook Studio

Have you ever wondered what life is like behind the scenes for an interior designer? On today’s episode of Homeworthy, we’re back in Chestnut Hill with the incredibly talented Michelle Gage, taking you inside her enchanting storybook studio.

Michelle and her team of five discovered this charming ivy-covered former dairy barn—left unoccupied for years—and instantly knew it was the perfect place to call home for their design office. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear this space was thoughtfully reimagined. Structured like a home with a cozy sitting room, dining room, and kitchen, the studio allows clients to truly envision how materials will work in their own spaces.

From testing fabrics and stones to experiencing how they wear over time, Michelle has created a fully immersive and inspiring design environment. Enjoy!
