Inside the French Country Home of Tabletop Designer Marie Daâge
Step inside the enchanting Loire Valley château of artist and porcelain designer Marie Daâge as she welcomes us back for a tour of her remarkable country retreat in France.
Set within a private park complete with a lake, the historic estate has been part of her husband Philippe's family since the early 19th century. Originally built in the 17th century and extensively reimagined in the 1840s by François-Philibert Dessaignes, a prominent businessman, politician, and philanthropist, the château is steeped in history while remaining a deeply personal family home.
Over the years, Marie and Philippe have carefully brought new life to the property while respecting its architectural heritage and unique character. Though the work continues, Marie has thoughtfully given each of the château's rooms its own identity through a masterful mix of antiques, sumptuous fabrics, vibrant wallpapers, and treasured family pieces.
