Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s whimsical tale Through the Looking Glass, Jenkins reimagines the classic English garden as a space where fantasy and sophistication collide. Walls wrapped in Schumacher’s Madame de Pompadour paper — created in collaboration with Miles Redd — set a romantic backdrop, while a pixelated version on the ceiling adds a striking modern twist.

At the heart of the room, a walnut flame-lacquer table awaits a Mad Hatter-worthy feast, gleaming with Baccarat crystal, gold and platinum place settings, and rosé velvet chairs from the 1920s. Above, Baccarat’s Le Roi Soleil chandelier sparkles like a dream, its light dancing across mirrored reflections that double the magic.

From the classical plaster moldings to the monumental weathered-zinc pedestal crowned with lush greenery, every detail in Jenkins’ dining room is a study in imagination, craftsmanship, and pure storytelling.

The Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse in New York City is an annual design event where top interior designers transform a luxury Manhattan residence into a stunning showcase of creativity. Founded in 1973, it serves as the signature fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, with all proceeds supporting after-school and enrichment programs for thousands of children in the Bronx and beyond.
