A Quaint Paris Apartment Defined by Flea Market Treasures and Timeless Design

Interior designer and founder of Boxwood Avenue, Chloe Legras, welcomes us inside her charming 400 sq ft apartment in the heart of Paris’s Le Marais.

After trading a in vast cattle ranch in Northern California for this tiny, sun-drenched Parisian flat, Chloe has fully embraced the poetry of small-space living. Because of the apartment’s compact scale, Chloe has had to be deeply intentional about what she brings into the space—nearly every piece has been discovered through flea markets and layered in over time, giving the home a collected, storied quality that feels both effortless and deeply considered.

Original hand-scrubbed terracotta floors, antique beams, lacquered brass fixtures, and patinated flea market finds come together in a restrained yet expressive palette. The result is a masterclass in small-space living—where every object carries history, and nothing feels incidental.

It’s a home that proves intimacy and character are not constraints of scale, but choices of vision.
