Who says small homes can’t be just as layered and breathtaking as large estates? Interior designer Anna Conese (@annabellucci) is showing us how it’s done. The influencer, who calls her style “dignified whimsy,” has filled her quaint space with thrifted finds and DIYs that leave you feeling like you’ve stepped into a timeless fairytale.
In her viral video, which received nearly 2.5 million views, she takes her followers on a journey through her home, showcasing her keen eye for design. “A friendly reminder that small houses can be dream houses,” she writes.
The clip begins in the breakfast nook of her kitchen, which features an exaggerated built-in corner wood bench that spans two walls. To give it a cozy feel, she lined the entire thing with warm-toned Aztec pillows. It surrounds an antique rectangular dining table, which also has three wood chairs around it and a bouquet of flowers atop. Besides the charming light fixtures hanging above, the focal point of this room is the wallpapered backdrop – which features a scene from nature, with birds perched on autumn-leaved trees.
She then takes us into her charming kitchen, featuring soothing grey cabinets, a large farmhouse apron sink, and bronze sconces. The wobbly white brick backsplash, with a long wood shelf over it that holds several kitchen utensils, gives the space an idyllic country feel. She decorated with various framed prints of flowers and a worn in Kilim runner.
The clip finishes off with the final entertaining space, a small sitting room that holds a lived-in chocolate brown, tufted leather sofa, with kitschy floral and animal-shaped pillows atop it. The focal point is the large gallery wall featuring all kinds of portraits, paintings, and mirrors, all held in various gold frames.
