A Creative Journey: From Childhood Ventures to William Lyon Designs
William Lyon‘s journey into the world of interior design began in middle school when he and his older sister started a design business for fun, aptly named L&B Designs. A Studio with History: From Bar Chat to Wall Street Space
The story of William Lyon’s studio begins with a casual conversation at Troupe 429, a bar on Wall Street. The owner, intrigued by William’s design prowess, proposed the idea of a studio space for his business. The rest, as they say, is history. The studio, located in Norwalk, became a reality in October 2022, with an official opening celebration alongside New England Home magazine in February 2023.
Studio Aesthetics: A Second Home on Wall Street
Walking into William Lyon’s studio feels like entering a second home. Exposed brick, wide plank floors, and a modern blown glass fixture set the stage for a comfortable space. The warm neutral tones of Skyline Steel SW paint on walls and trim create a seamless look, extending to custom built-ins and the desk. The studio’s heart is a cork board wall, a creative hub for inspiration and project development, surrounded by open shelves and a carefully curated furniture vignette featuring sellable products.
