Day In The Life of A Legendary Fashion Designer in NYC

Today, we’re spending the day in New York City with fashion icon Cynthia Rowley.

We begin at her West Village home and walk with her through downtown Manhattan to her Tribeca studio—where we get an inside look at where she brings some of fashions biggest ideas to life.

Cynthia’s journey started with a chance encounter on a train, when a retail buyer noticed the jacket she had made herself. Soon after, she packed a U-Haul and moved to New York City, determined to build a life in the fashion industry. Since then, Cynthia has staged more than 100 runway shows known for their imagination and spectacle—from pillow fights and paper forests to waterfront runways set against the Statue of Liberty.

Today, she shares the rituals that shape her days—from morning cold plunges to long walks where inspiration strikes—and the philosophy that has guided her career: experiment often, take risks, and keep moving forward.
