A Charming 1830s Farmhouse in Connecticut

Photographer and brand strategist Taylor Swaim welcomes us inside her 200-year-old Greek Revival farmhouse in Litchfield County, Connecticut.

After years in New York City, Taylor was drawn to the quiet of the countryside and the historic character of this 1830s home, where original details sit alongside a richly collected mix of antiques, family heirlooms, artwork, and pieces gathered from her travels.

From a cozy living room filled with vintage finds to a warm, moody guest room inspired by her love of horses, every space reflects a different chapter of Taylor’s story. Many of the home’s most meaningful pieces have been passed down through generations, while others were found at antique shops, flea markets, and tag sales throughout the Northeast.

Outside, Taylor has transformed the grounds with a gravel entertaining area and carefully revived a long-neglected barn, creating a home that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.
