Angel Massie’s Colorful Country Garden Filled With Heirloom Fruits & Flowers
In the mountains of Colorado, Angel Massie has transformed a little patch of land into a lush, abundant kitchen garden filled with fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, and heirloom varieties grown almost entirely from seed.
In this special garden tour, Angel takes us through Low Moon Garden, sharing the gardening traditions passed down through the women in her family and the lessons she learned from her grandmother.
From towering sunflowers and heirloom tomatoes to watermelons, strawberries, pumpkins, and medicinal herbs, every part of the garden reflects Angel’s deep connection to the land and her commitment to regenerative gardening.
She also shares practical tips for growing successfully in Colorado’s challenging climate, from choosing plants suited to your growing zone to creating healthy soil and attracting pollinators.
After harvesting the garden’s bounty, Angel joins her husband, chef Bobby, to make wood-fired pizza and a refreshing watermelon and cucumber salad using ingredients they’ve grown themselves.
Together, they celebrate a summer spent growing, cooking, and building a deeper connection to the land they call home as the garden begins its transition into fall.
