This past week I had the pleasure of interviewing the ever chic and lovely Annie Meyers-Shyer. Annie hails from Southern California but is so classic that she looks like she was plucked right off the island of Nantucket. She is the daughter of the beloved writer and director Nancy Meyers who is famous for many things, but notably for the beautiful homes and kitchens she creates in her movies. Think It’s Complicated, Father of the Bride, The Parent Trap… the list goes on and on.
We perched on a comfy couch at the Jenni Kayne store in SoHo and talked about her fabulous new book, This Oak House, which chronicles the loving restoration of her mother-in-law’s historic Los Angeles home where she and her family now live. The house—and the book—are absolutely stunning.
