On Thursday, May 1st, the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s showstopping Spring Gala—New York City’s premier tabletop event—returns. Guiding this year’s creative direction is Honorary Design Chair Christopher Spitzmiller, along with Design Chairs Lindsey Coral Harper and Harry Heissmann, whose artistic vision promises a truly unforgettable visual experience.

The theme for this year’s black-tie affair is “La Dolce Vita,” and the event will take place at the iconic Cipriani 42nd Street. An incredible lineup of forty design partners will bring the fantastical Italian-inspired theme to life with spectacular tabletop creations guaranteed to awe and delight.

The designers have mere hours to craft their showstopping tablescapes, and let’s just hope there are no major hiccups along the way. To appreciate the scale and creativity involved—and to catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the mad dash to complete these sculptural masterpieces—check out our behind-the-scenes peak from last year’s gala. The breadth and scale of these tablescapes and the ambition and artistry of these designers is truly breathtaking. We can’t wait to see what this year’s designers have in store!

Since its founding in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant families, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House has remained a vital pillar of the East Side community, providing New Yorkers of all ages with critical and comprehensive services. This year’s celebration honors Lenox Hill’s enduring community of supporters and raises essential funds to help more than 17,000 New Yorkers in need.

The 2025 Gala will pay tribute to Board Member Dusty Philip and celebrate Warren B. Scharf, Lenox Hill’s longtime Executive Director, for his decades of extraordinary leadership.
