After returning to Texas following her husband’s military deployment in Germany, April and her husband set out to find a place they could renovate together. April knew her grandparents' now-vacant Arlington home was the perfect fit as it was filled with cherished memories and in need of a remodel.

The couple transformed the dated interior with a series of DIY projects, chronicled on April's social media, including a living room bookshelf wall, a fresh kitchen remodel and a bold hand-painted blue entryway. With a passion for secondhand finds, April layered the space with an eclectic mix of family heirlooms, thrifted decor and collected art.
