A 1930s Fixer-Upper Transformed into a Cozy Family Home
When Suzannah Stanley returned to her childhood neighborhood in Oregon, she took on a 1937 fixer-upper just steps from her parents’ home. What started as a major renovation during a hectic season of life quickly became something much deeper.
Over the years, she transformed the house into a warm, “new traditional” home filled with vintage details, thoughtful DIY updates, and spaces designed for real family living. Her style evolved alongside the home—moving away from trends and toward something more timeless and personal.
But beyond design, this home has been her constant through life’s biggest changes—raising two children, navigating loss, and finding love again. It’s a space that tells a story of resilience, growth, and what it truly means to feel at home.
