An London Home Where Art and Creativity Take Center Stage

Artist Bell Hutley and lighting design development manager Barry Cadisch welcome us into their Victorian home in Hackney, where bold color, folk-inspired murals and an eclectic mix of objects reflect the couple’s shared creative sensibilities.

Having lived here for two years, Bell and Barry have approached the house as a collaborative project, decorating each room as a unit and filling it with rich paprika reds, botanical greens and soft pinks inspired by nature.

For Bell, the interiors have become a canvas for her distinctive murals, while handmade ceramics and collected pieces speak to the interests they share. Outside, a south-facing garden offers a peaceful counterpoint to the expressive interiors, complete with a dedicated studio where Bell brings her artwork to life.
