A Serene English-Style Cottage in East Hampton

Event planner Elizabeth Stone welcomes us inside the Corner Cottage, her East Hampton home, where English countryside charm meets easy Hamptons hospitality.

Elizabeth layered pattern, color, and wallpaper into nearly every room, from a hand-painted living room mural inspired by East Hampton's old Hooke Mill to a green kitchen with custom tiles honoring the family's favorite local haunts.

Along the way, she reveals her late-night artist discoveries, the twin beds she claimed from her mother's attic, a thrift-store dollhouse bought before they even had the house, and the pink closet she negotiated for in exchange for her husband's green bathroom.

More than a summer escape, this is a home built for year-round living: fires in February, friends cooking in the kitchen, and a garden designed for long dinners outside. For Elizabeth, home means a full fridge, a full house, and always a cold bottle of rosé on hand.
