Vintage Vibes
A Topanga A-Frame Filled With Vintage Finds
Step inside the deeply personal A-frame home of indie-folk musicians Deena Robertson and Austin Bisnow of Somewhere In Between, where midcentury architecture meets sensory design.
Originally envisioned as a sanctuary during Deena’s recovery from cancer, the 2,003-square-foot home has evolved into a living work of art—layered with vintage leathers, sculptural lighting, analog instruments, tactile finishes, and upcycled materials. Operable skylights and thoughtful sightlines bring the surrounding state park landscape into focus, while a 1963 Wurlitzer and original recording equipment add a sense of nostalgia and reverence for craft.
Outside, a dramatic spiral staircase leads to terraced decks and an immersive outdoor spa featuring an underground sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, and open-air shower. Every element was thoughtfully designed to create a sense of calm, creativity, and connection to nature. It’s a home that reflects the way Deena and Austin make music: intuitively, intentionally, and with a deep appreciation for the beauty of the unexpected.
