Step Inside An 1800s Brownstone in New York City
Today, we’re on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, touring a one-of-a-kind 1888 Victorian brownstone brought back to life by artist, designer, and author Camomile Hixon. When Camomile purchased the home 20 years ago, it needed a complete overhaul. What followed was an ambitious, full-scale renovation. The result is a striking blend of classic architecture and forward-thinking design.
Throughout the home, you’ll find an eclectic mix of pieces: meaningful family heirlooms passed down from her two stylish grandmothers, sculptural vintage finds, and even treasures discovered on the streets of New York—all layered together in a way that feels both intentional and unexpected.
