A Stunning San Francisco Apartment with Sweeping Bay Views
Interior designer Allison Caccoma opens the doors to her breathtaking San Francisco apartment perched atop Nob Hill — where sweeping views of the Bay, North Beach, and Chinatown create a spectacular backdrop for her beautifully layered home.
Allison takes us on a room-by-room tour of the apartment she’s called home for five years — a 1925 pre-war residence she lovingly compares to old London and classic New York. She shares the thoughtful architectural changes she made to transform the original open-plan layout, her obsession with jewel-toned fabrics and collected antiques, and the deeply personal stories behind every piece — from a lamp honoring her design idol John Saladino, to a painting she rescued from the garbage in New York, to a pink opaline lamp a friend carried home from Paris over 30 years ago.
Before becoming one of San Francisco’s most sought-after designers, Allison spent 13 years on a Wall Street trading floor — until a postcard from the New York School of Interior Design changed everything. She trained under the legendary Bunny Williams before launching her own firm, and her elegant San Francisco home reflects that pedigree: layered, collected, and full of soul.
