A Moody English Home Filled With Vintage Finds & Character

Interior designer Alana Miller, founder of Delve Interiors, welcomes us inside her Edwardian home in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, where rich colors, vintage finds, and maximalist interiors bring new life to the characterful property.

After falling in love with Letchworth as a teenager, Alana finally moved to the town six years ago, taking on an old home that needed plenty of work. Throughout the house, she has restored original character while adding her own moody, nature-inspired style and layers of pieces collected over time.

Vintage furniture, inherited treasures, antique art, and secondhand finds fill the home, from the dramatic living room and apothecary-inspired kitchen to the dining room's Renaissance-inspired ceiling mural and her magical green primary bedroom.

Alana walks us through the renovations, sharing how she brought back fireplaces, added paneling and period details, and transformed the layout to create a practical family home without losing its historic character.
