Fashion Designer Kate Wasserbach Moore’s Elvis-Inspired Historic Home

Fashion designer and founder of Abel Honor New York, Kate Wasserbach Moore invites us inside her lovingly restored 1870s Victorian home in Loudonville, New York.

This timeless home was originally built as a retreat for a prominent family and remains one of the most architecturally significant properties in the area. Kate and her husband, Travis, have taken a completely hands-on approach to the restoration — no designer, no contractor, just pure passion and purpose. From estate sale treasures to hand-sourced heirlooms, every corner of the home tells a story. Seven original fireplaces, a carved staircase, Dutch doors, and even 100-year-old trees still frame the property, giving the house a near-museum quality while still feeling warm, lived-in, and full of soul.

A former Dior and Ralph Lauren alum, Kate's fashion background is apparent in every detail—layered, thoughtful, and full of emotion. The couple’s DIY journey has turned this historic home into a deeply personal sanctuary and a true reflection of their life, style, and growing family. Her interiors, like her designs, are rooted in storytelling, history, and a beautiful mix of high and low.
