Textile Designer Lisa Fine’s Pattern-Drenched NYC Apartment
We’re on Fifth Avenue in New York City, inside a 1927 former hotel that textile designer Lisa Fine has transformed into a richly layered hideaway.
Inspired by India — where she first fell in love with textiles over thirty years ago — Lisa drapes her prints across walls, ceilings, and furniture, creating her signature “solid” cocoon of pattern and color.
She discovered the apartment in terrible condition during Covid, but its history and old-world charm pulled her in. After a thoughtful restoration, it now reflects her love of global craftsmanship, Venetian glassware, and nostalgic details gathered from a life of travel.
Every inch of this Fifth Avenue jewel box tells a story — a mix of India, Paris, Hollywood glamour, and Lisa’s unmistakable eye.
